Amnesty's work

THANK you for your very good coverage of the report "The Face of Persecution 1969" published by the British section of Amnesty International.

Two thousand of these prisoners are adopted by Amnesty at this moment. This means that their governments are approached for details about the case, and often that release is sought. Where there is hardship for the families Of prisoners, Amnesty groups often send material help.

There may be readers who would like to help in this work. More details about Amnesty and membership can be obtained by writing to: British Section, Amnesty International, Turnagain Lane, London, E.C.4.

Eric Baker, Chairman, British Section.
