Lamentable

If drinks were handed as freely round the audience as they are on the stage at the Garrick Theatre, something like life might possibly be infused into Saturday Night at the Crown ". And if the action really took place in a pub instead of a theatre, there might be some comedy, some tragedy, some wit. Who knows, something might even happen?

Thora 1-lird. with no help from the script and little from the rest of the cast. does everything possible to brighten things up. but for all her hard work its a lamentable affair, and for at least one member of the audience " closing time" came none too soon.
