National University of Ireland Club's Dinner in London

A special tribute to Dr. Denis J. Coffey, who is retiring from the Presidency of University College, Dublin, after 31 years, was paid by Dr. Michael A. Hogan, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and official delegate from the university, at the National University of Ireland Club's banquet and ball at Grosvenor House on Saturday last.

Dr. William Shortie, chairman of the club, read a telegram from Mr de Valera, Chancellor, wishing the gathering the blessings of St. Patrick's Feast. The toast of the club was replied to by Dr. M. D. Nunan, hon. secretary, and that of " The Guests," proposed by Dr. P. I. Tierney, by Fr. J. E. Petit, M.A., rector of St. Edward's House of Studies, Cambridge.
