Martyrs honoured

Brentwood diocese held its fourth rally on Sunday in honour of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales at Chelmsford football stadium, when 5.000 people from all over Essex attended Pontifical lligh Mass offered by Bishop Wall, and blessing of the sick with relics of the martyrs.

Mgr. John Howell, VicarGeneral, said in his sermon that "to play the martyrs down in this age or ecumenism would be betraying the very cause for which they died".
