Another appeal for funds has been issued by the Catholic Committee for Refugees from Germany.

Cardinal Hinsley himself some weeks ago asked Catholics to supplement their " quite inadequate response " to the Committee's appeal.

The response to the Cardinal's words is less than it might have been owing to the international crisis.

Fr. I. Geraerts, Chairman of the Committee, now announces that the Committee's funds are exhausted.

t' Send your donation as a thankoffering," he writes, " for the preservation of peace, to the Hon. Treasurer, Catholic Committee for Refugees from Germany, 120, Victoria Street, London, S.W.1, or give your pennies without delay to any Brother of the Se Vincent de Paul Society, which is authorised to forward to us on your behalf the smaller gifts that cannot be sent through the post."
