abortion clinic in New York (60,000 abortions a year), Dr Bernard N. Nathanson, has suddenly changed his opinion, according to the Vienna Church newspaper, Wiener Kirchenzeitung. He recognised that abortion was the same as murder, broke his links with the clinic and started an anti-abortion campaign.
He said he knew that as head of the clinic he was fully responsible for what happened there, and that because of his changed attitude "many doctors have lost their nerve."
