In "The Bowmans" of March 16, Mrs Bowman rejoiced that Catholics the world over are one in religious belief, specifically including Japanese Catholics. She did not say that Catholics were one in morals. Was this an oversight?
If I had been a Catholic atom bomb aimer in teh plane over Hiroshima, and the Bowmans had been a Catholic Japanese family below, woudl we both have believed that it was pleasing to our Heavenly Father to drop that bomb?
Incidentally, what did "the Pope in Rome" think about it?
