1)R GRAHAM LEONARD (above), Anglican bishop of London seen preaching at Walsingham 011 the occasion of golden jubilee of the Anglican shrine there.

Pope John Paul II sent a telegram expressing his "cordial greetings-, The message said 'It is the prayer of his Holiness that Walsinghant will ever he a centre for well ordered and fruitful dialogue undertaken and sustained with openness to the prornptings of the spirit of truth so that he may hasten the day when full unity in faith is finally attained.

Also, Fr Clive Birch. director of the Catholic shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham, presented an illuminated manuscript to the Anglicans.
