REORGANISING SCHOOL LIBRAR/ES Plans for Outlying Districts

A scheme for the reorganisation of school library facilities has been prepared by the city librarian of Sheffield (Mr. J. P. Lamb) and approved by the Libraries committee.

The scheme provides for the withdrawal of ceraa's. school boxes and their reallocation to schools in outlying districts, the circularising of schools more than three-quarters of a mite from any public library to ascertain the requirements of the schools, and the discontinuance of the service where borrowing facilities may subsequently become available.
