Priest's body found in the Alps

THE body of Fr. Emile Giroux, of Sebastieh, Quebec, a victim of the Canadian pilgrim plane crash in the Alps last November, has been discovered by a French woodsman in the Obiou Mountains, near Grenoble.

The plane, carrying the pilgrims from Rome, crashed in the mountains only a few hours after they had been received in audience by the Holy Father.

Most of the bodies were recovered from the difficult mountain area within a few days, The death roll was finally announced at 58, including Fr. Giroux.

When Fr. Giroux's body can be recovered from the mountainside, it will be taken down to Grenoble.
