NEW CHURCH FOR 250 COSTS UNDER £3,500

The new church opened last week by the Bishop of Southwark, Mgr. Cowderoy, at Plumstead Common, seats 250 people, but has cost under £3.500.

An unusual method of construction gives entirety uninterrupted sight lines. A series of cantilevered members carry the roof, obviating the use of the normal truss construction.

The architects are Messrs. Archard, Worrow and Hardy.
