Ex-Chief Justice baptised

On his 70th birthday, Dr. Tadahiko Mibuchi, until recently Chief Justice of the Japanese Supreme Court, has been baptised and received into the Church by Fr. Herman Heuvers, S.J., in Tokyo.

Godparents at the ceremony was Dr. Mibuchi's successor as Chief Justice. Dr. Kotaro Tanaka, and his wife.
