U.S. Navy greets new Bishop

Congratulations from " all hands" in the U.S. Navy have been sent by Navy Secretary Matthews to Mgr. Christopher Weldon, a naval chaplain in the Second World War, who is being consecrated today (Friday) as Bishop of Springfield.

Mgr. Weldon was until recently executive director of New York Catholic Charities.
