The Eucharistic Congress at Lisieux

A pastoral letter from the Bishop of Bayeux and Lisieux, Mgr. Picaud, draws attention to the importance of the National Eucharistic Congress which is to take place at Lisieux next July.

The letter deals, in the earlier pages, with the devotion to the Holy Eucharist shown by St. Teresa of Lisieux. Mgr. Picaud then goes on to consider the development of public Eucharistic demonstrations as one of the most remarkable signs of the times from the religious point of view, and he asks his flock not only for faithfulness to duty but also for fervour and enthusiasm.
