THE ASCENSION ended Christ's physical sojourn on earth, but He has remained with us, and will remain, as He promised. " always even to the end of the world ". He is with us, and in us, truly present in the sacrament of His abiding love.
HE is also bound closely to us, and we to him, in His Church, of which He is the head and we the members, for the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, the permanent continuation, till the end of time, of the Incarnation of Christ on earth.
