THINK WELL ON IT

THE ASCENSION ended Christ's physical sojourn on earth, but He has remained with us, and will remain, as He promised. " always even to the end of the world ". He is with us, and in us, truly present in the sacrament of His abiding love.

HE is also bound closely to us, and we to him, in His Church, of which He is the head and we the members, for the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, the permanent continuation, till the end of time, of the Incarnation of Christ on earth.

All that lies at the heart of our Catholic Faith. One who did not share it and whose name is unknown has paid this moving tribute to the short life that changed the world. "Here is a man who was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another obscure

village. He worked in a carpenter's shop until He was 30, and then for three years was a travelling preacher.

He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. lie never went to college. He never put His foot inside a big city. He never went two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He never did one of the things
