AUGUSTINIAN FATHERS of the Anglo-Irish Province arc organising a pilgrimage to Canterbury this Sunday (27th) in honour of Bl. John Stone and his fellow martyrs. Bishop Cowderoy of Southwark will celebrate High Mass (12.30) at the site of HI. John's martyrdom.

QUEEN JULIANA of the Netherlands has named a Preston parish priest, Canon Quirlan Klomp, in her Birthdays Honours List (Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau) Canon Klomp gave considerable service during the last war to men of the Netherlands Merchant Marine and Fishing Fleet visiting Preston and Fleetwood. Born in Holland, -he was ordained for the Lancaster diocese in 1914.
