The Rev, Bernard .1, McDonald, rector of St, Francis Xavier's, Oldbury, died on November 16 in the Queen's Hospital at Birmingham. He was in his sixty-second year and in the thirty-fourth year of his priesthood.

After ten years' work as an assistant priest at St. Catherine's, Horse Fair, Birmingham, Fr, McDonald was appointed, in 1915, to St. Joseph's, Chasetown. In that parish he remained until 1922, when he transferred to his final charge at Oldbury.
