Sir,—How easy it is to correct ignorance amongst non-Catholics ! I recently bought a set of Junior Encyclopaedia volumes for my children, and was requested by the supplying firm to make comment on my purchase. On examination, I discovered an article which stated that the Roman Catholic Church placed more emphasis on doctrine than on morals. Thereupon, 1 wrote to the firm, protesting against the falsity of the article. and simply suggested that a competent authority be requested to rewrite the article for the next edition. The result of a very courteous correspondence is that copies of my letters have been sent to the editorial department of the publishers, .so that attention may be given to my complaint when a revised edition is published.
