Sir,—Re enquiries and speculations as to how families can be helped practically I beg once more to draw attention to the aims of those few of us banded together under the Patronage of Our Lady of the Visitation put forth in my article two years ago.
We should imitate Our Lady who, even when herself pregnant had time to think of someone else in need; i.e., realise that it is often the time and energy we think we cannot spare that IS wanted of 'us.
The taking in of washing and mending involves no interference " in others' houses, and we can well believe that if the mediaeval Saints who kissed beggars' sores were in the world today they would be kissing babies' dirty nappies. J. P. G.
