The first annual festival of the Catholic Drama League will be held in London during the week beginning January 27, 1936. Dramatic societies affiliated to the league will compete at the festival, during which one-act plays will be performed and their acting judged by a professional adjudicator.
Founded in the spring of this year, the league sponsored the production at the Victoria Palace in June of Mr. Hilary Pepler's mime in honour of the canonisation of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More. The Field Is Won.
The Archbishop of Westminster has given his approval of the work of the guild in the archdiocese. Full particulars of the festival may be obtained from the hon. secretary, Mr. C. R. Bradley, Westmount, 32, Coppett's Road, Muswell Hill.
