FAMILY'S DOUBLE JUBILEE

The Rev. F. 11. Drinkwater. of Birmingham, celebrated his silver sacerdotal jubilee last week simultaneously with the golden wedding of his parents, Mr. and Mrs F. J. Drinkwater, of Wednesbury (Warwickshire).

Fr. Drinkwater has been diocesan inspector of schools since 1920 and is founder of "The Sower," the quarterly journal on Catholic education, which he himself edited until 1927. He is the author of a number of works on educat ion.

Solemn high mass of thanksgiving (celebrated by Fr. Drinkwater at St. Mary's. Wednesbury) was attended by many of the laity and a number of clergy including the Revs. T. Connolly (Wednesbury), J. Hanrahao (Bloxwich), W. Poulton (Netehells), B. Hickson (Cannock), B. Withers (Aston), E. Lester (Tottenhall) and

B. HirreIl (Coleshill). The Revs. J. F. Bromfield. rector, and John Drinkwater were deacon and sub-deacon respectively.
