Brother Junien Victor

DE LA SALLE SUPERIOR GENERAL News has just been received from U.S.A. announcing the death of the Most Honourable Brother Junien Victor, Superior General of the Brotbets of the Christian Schools at Mauleon, in the south of unoccupied France.

The late Brother J. Victor was the 18th successor to St. J. B. De La Salle, Founder of the Brothers. He was elected Superior General by the General Chapter of the Brothers held in 1934, and has been in poor health for some time past ; yet he continued to final the heavy duties imposed upon him as General of a Religious Congregation numbering 20,000 Brothers, scattered in 65 different countries, comprising 57 different nationalities. There were 29 Cornmunities of the De La Salle Brothers in England and 32 in Ireland.
