Archbishop flies in to bless Poles' new church

Catholic Herald Reporter ARCHBISHOP GAWLINA, Protector for Polish Immigrants Abroad, is flying from Rome next weekend to bless a new Polish church at Melton Mowbray, Leicester. The blessing will take place on Sunday evening in the presence of Bishop Ellis of Nottingham.

The church, seating about 300, has been built almost entirely by volunteers from the 720-strong Polish community at Melton Mowbray. It replaces a chapel in a nearby Polish camp. The architectural plans were given by Mr. Victor Bernacki. a Polish senior lecturer at Leicester Technical College.
