VATICAN Om The Pontifical Work of Priestly Vocations has been founded and vested in the Sacred Congregation of Seminaries and Universities through a Motu Proprio issued by Pope Pius XII.
It is the purpose of this new Pontifical work to intensify in the faithful the desire to support priestly vocations, and to diffuse knowledge of the dignity and necessity of the Catholic priesthood.
