Upset

I support Fr Denis Hayes of Lewes (May 19). Many of us who looked forward to Lord Rawlinson's appointment as Lord Chancellor, must now feel differently.

His brief was to second the motion that the report of the Ransom Guild be adopted. He showed neither knowledge of the guild nor interest in it. With four bishops on the platform, his political and offensive tirade must have upset many more than Er Hayes and myself. I was present at the meeting.
