TO microfilm a million a pages of ancient manuscripts, Orientalists and photographers of the American Foundation for the Study of Man hale arrived at St. Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments and St. Catherine of Alexandria's martyred body was found.
One copy of the film will be gilen to the Library of Congress in Washington and another to King Farouk.
It was hi the library of this Greek Orthodox monastery, in 1895, that the Codex Slnalticus was found, the second most famous Greek manuscript of the Bible.
The monks, not realising Its value, gave it away. It went to Leningrad.
