Pope's Letter to German Bishop

When the Bishop of Munster, Count von Galen, visited the Pope recently he gave him an account of the diocesan synod which was held in his diocese in 1936.

The Bishop has since received a letter from the Cardinal Secretary of State, praising the good work of the synod and saying among other things: " The Faith, this precious heritage handed down by our ancestors, will triumph easily over the difficulties of the present time if the faithful are themselves in obedience to and practice of their religion, undivided."
