L. A. H. de Bedwick Secchi (Stonyhurst College) has been elected to an open scholarship in classics to University College, Oxford. J. R. Coleburt (Downside School) to a similar scholarship to Exeter College, and D. L. Nicoll (Ampleforth College) to an open exhibition in modern history to Exeter College; H. H. Stewart (Stonyhurst) to a scholarship in classics to Corpus Christi College, and J. V. Gregg (Ampleforth) to a Minor (Methuen) scholarship in Mathematics to Wadham College.

Miss M. L. Schroen (Manhattanvilla College of the Sacred Heart, New York City) has been elected to a scholarship In Italian to the Society of Oxford Home Students.
