the " Reformation " a Catholic Bishop was officially received by the Geneva city council when Mgr. Francis Charriere, newly-consecrated Ordinary of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, and successor of the late Bishop Marius Besson, came to pay a call on the city dignatories of the birthplace of Calvinism. The Bishop was accompanied by his two vicars general and the secretary of the one residing in Geneva, Mgr. Henri Petit.
