Bitterne, Southampton, is the new parish of which the Rev. Fr. Denis Walshe is priest-in-charge.
An acre of ground has been acquired as a site for a new church on the main Bitterne road and £340 has already been subscribed. A building has been purchased in Commercial Street for use as a parish hall. Meanwhile Redcote Convent chapel is being used as a parish chu reit .
