There are now Eight Native Priests in Sweden

Ordination of Fr. Trygve ',linden in Stockholm by Bishop Johann Erik Mueller, of Stockholm, has brought the number of native Swedish priests to eight.

Fr. Lunden is a convert, and is known as a Latin scholar. He edited and translated some rare medieval Latin texts discovered in Sweden.

The Stockholm diocese, which includes all of Sweden, has a Catholic population of 18,000. Counting Fr. Lunden, it now has .28 diocesan priests. There also are 26 priests who belong to religious Congregations.
