Seven 'musts' for parishes

BOLIVIA'S bishops have drawn up a wide-ranging "plan for pastoral renewal" which covers all the activities in the country.

The plan was drawn up at a meeting of the Bishops in Coroico. The complete plan will be released later, but some directives are effective immediately: —Every parish is to have a dialogue Mass every Sunday. —The bilingual (Latin and Spanish) ritual approved by the Holy See must be used in Bolivia.

—A single programme of preaching. based on Christian doctrine, the Bible and the liturgy is to be followed throughout the country starting August 14.
