Youths offer guns for Bibles
CATHOLIC priests in the Dominican Republic are helping to collect weapons and exchange them for Bibles, as part of a delinquency-prevention programme.
Under the motto "Arms for Bibles", Christians are seeking to halt violent crime, which in May alone caused 15 deaths.
Fr Rogelio Cruz said the Church wanted young Dominicans to see "that there is another way of life, without violence or delinquency".
