By a Special Correspondent SOME Catholics are planning a fast in the Market Square at Nottingham and others are considering a demonstration march, as part of the campaign to secure the reinstatement of the four suspended priests in the diocese, said Mr. Ken Fleet, a member of the Nottingham Renewal Group, last week.
He was speaking at a meeting at which it was decided to appeal to other bishops in the country to try to persuade Bishop Ellis to lift the suspensions.
The four priests are thought to be the only ones in the country still under suspension for their views on Hurnanae Vitae. They are Fr. James Kilkenny of Leicester, Fr. Joseph Calnan of Clowne, Fr. Aquinas Furlong of West Bridgford and Fr. John Keane of Woodthorpe.
