Boys Will Be Gaels

Colaiste Mhuire (St. Mary's College)—an all-Irish secondary school run by the Christian Brothers at Parnell Square, Dublin—has proved so successful during its six years' existence that it is now being extended.

Only the Irish language is used at St. Mary's. English is banned—except for an hour a day (at English lessons)—and the language is merely on the level of French, German, or any other " foreign " tongue.

Any boy found speaking English in corridors or playground would be expelled.
