Unity Will Save Linen Industry

In those circumstances, an immense gain will flow to Northern Ireland, where twothirds of the population normally employed in the linen industry is on the dole. The American linen market will open up again —as people are saying in Ireland —when the leader of a united Ireland is able to speak for it and to invoke American goodwill for the starving Northern cities.

Again, Irish America conciliated. reconciled, rejoicing in the knowledge that Ireland is a nation once again will be differently disposed towards England from the Irish America which so bitterly resents the forceful partition of Ireland. As leader of a reunited Ireland Mr. de Valera will be a bringer of peace.

Such are the factors which are to be weighed by men of goodwill and men of prudence.
