Swaffham Church Clears Debt

From Our Own Correspondent For the first time in its history the Church of Our Lady of Pity, Swaffham, Norfolk, is free of debt, Not long ago the original debt of £500 incurred on its establishment, was reduced to less than a e100.

A suggestion from the diocese that a small endowment allocated to the church should be realised and used to wipe out the debt has been accepted, and a balance has been left over which will give a good start to its future.
