Scientists 'the discoverers of God's intentions'

World famous scientists—members of the Papal Academy of Science—with the Cardinals resident in Rome and all the members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Holy See met in the Con. sistorial Hall of the Vatican on Sunday to hear an address by the Holy Father.

His Holiness called upon science to join forces with philosophy for a final assault upon the remaining earthly mysteries to provide an allembracing view of the visible world.

" The mission confided to you,' the Pope told the scientists, " ranks among the most noble, for in a sense you should he the discoverers of the intentions of God.

" It is for you to interpret the book of nature. to describe its contents and to draw the consequences therefrom for the good of all."
