Barclay are optimistic if they expect many Catholics to buy, understand, and explain the books they have mentioned.
What is needed is something short, cheap and easily read. I recommend a threepenny C.T.S. pamphlet "Sex Instruction in the Home" by Fr. Aldan Pickering.
This pamphlet has two detachable sections which can be given to the 12-year-old boy or girl to read, thus helping greatly those many parents who find sex instruction embarrassing.
Instruction before puberty has the tremendous advantage of being separated from emotional adolescent disturbances and fore-warned is fore-armed. " Why were we never told?" is a sad cry I have heard very often from people who got into sexual difficulties of various kinds.
