OF SKIPTON
Canon Michael F. Beazley, who died on October 19, aged 70, was ordained in 1899 and was assistant priest at St. Mary's, Bradford, before he became parish priest at St. Charles', Attercliffe, Sheffield, where for 23 years he took a prominent part in Catholic affairs in the city. He was appointed parish priest of St. Stephen's, Skipton, in 1934. He had been Diocesan Inspector for a number of years.
The Bishop of Leeds presided at the Requiem Mass at Skipton on Friday last, which was celebrated by Mgr. Canon Hawkswell, V.G., in the presence of the members of the Chapter. many clergy of the diocese, Sisters of the convent and parishioners. Rev. C. B. Warren (Otley) was the preacher.
The Bishop gave the Absolutions, and officiated at the interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.
