Warm tribute

Keywords: O'donovan

May an Anglican invade your columns, for once without (I hope) contentiousness or controversy?

Many hearts besides mine must have sunk at the sight of a strange face and strange name at the head of Charterhouse Chronicle of September 8, only to be lifted and indeed strangely warmed on reading John Harriott's tribute to the usual incumbent.

I could expand in appreciation of Patrick O'Donovan's writing, but all that need be said has been said, and so well. May we hope for an anthology of the Master's writing ("The Bedside Charterhouse" 'The World of O'Donovan")?

(Rev) Allan D. Bulk Birmingham.
