New rector of Allen Hall

A NEW Rector for Allen Hall is one of the special appointments in the Westminster Diocese made recently by Cardinal Basil Hume, Archbishop of Westminster, and the Area Bishops.

In December, Fr Patrick O'Donoghue, formerly SubAdministrator at Westminster Cathedral will succeed Mgr John Coghlan as Rector of the Diocesan Seminary.

Allen Hall will also be looking for a new Dean of Studies and Moral Theology since the present Dean, Fr Brendan Soane, is to move to the Beda College in Rome as Spiritual Director.

Other changes include the appointment of Fr Jim Kennedy of the Poplar Confederation to the Drugs Apostolate, and Fr Peter Sharp of the Pastoral Service for Hearing-Impaired Assistant at the Hatch End TV/Radio Centre.

Fr Gladstone Liddle is to join Fr Walter Drumm, former Oxford University chaplain, at Our Lady of Victories in Kensington. His post as the Cardinal's Private Secretary will be filled by Fr Patrick Browne.
