The house that history left behind

TRAQuAnt in Peebleshires the only great Catholic private house left in Scotland open to the public. The family's adherence to Catholicism and Jacobitism and consequent fines resulted in only minor changes having been made to the building during the past 300 years the family could not afford to mess it about.
