THE POPE'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

POPE JOHN XXIII will broadcast his annual Christmas message to the world on December 22 at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. G.M.T.), The message will be broadcast by Vatican Radio and Italy's radio and television network. It will also be broadcast by nearly all of the radio and TV networks of western Europe by either direct or delayed broadcasts. Translations will be beamed at Iron Curtain countries by Radio Free Europe. Translations in 30 languages will be broadcast by Vatican Radio.

MIDNIGHT MASS

Radio and TV MIDNIGHT MASS this year will be both televised and broadcast.

On the radio Midnight Mass will come from St. Luke's, Pinner. with Fr. P. Mullins as celebrant. Fr. Wilfred Trotman will preach and the commentator will be Fr. Denis O'Connell. (Midnight, Light programme).

Midnight Mass will be televised by ATV (Network) and will come from the newly rebuilt St. George's Cathedral, Southwark. Bishop Cowderoy will both sing the Mass and preach.
