SIR,-In my humble opinion it is time a can be made to the British public to support the medical profession in their opposition to the National Health Service scheme and that a Public Health Service should operate side-by-side with the privately-owned family doctor practices, hospitals and insurance societies as in the past. and that the more successful of the two should be allowed to have prior claim on the public. thus giving the whole population a square deal.
