Agreement has been reached between the sponsors of Mr. Douglas Jerrold and Mr. John McGovern, M.P., regarding the proposed debate on the Spanish conflict.
The debate will take place on June 6 in the Coliseum Theatre, Glasgow.
Mr. McGovern has agreed that the scope of the debate should be that set out in Mr. Jerrold's original challenge, viz., " The Origin, Conduct and Lessons of the Civil War."
It has also been agreed that Mr. Alex. McGregor, Jun., the well-known Glasgow lawyer and Catholic Actionist, will occupy the chair.
Mr. Alex. McGregor, jun., is the son of Bailie Alex. McGregor who was expelled from the Labour Party a few weeks ago because of his strong action against proposed flag days to give financial aid to Spanish Government forces.
