From Mr Selwyn Hodson Pressinger SIR After Tony Blair's election in 1997 it was noted by the press he regularly accompanied his wife and children to their local Catholic church. Some hypothesised that he might even become Britain's first Catholic Prime Minister. However, it now seems he will be remembered for his faith in another manner altogether: peace in Northern Ireland.
In view of the fact his own marriage is based on successful accord between Protestant and Catholic, his brokering similar accord in Ulster is surely an appropriate legacy.
Yours faithfully, SELWYN HODSON PRESSINGER London SW7
