THE full text of the Holy Father's • address to Italian midwives has
now been issued as a pamphlet by the Pontifical Court Club, whose president is the Apostolic Delegate. Archbishop Godfrey.
It is being distributed by the Catholic Truth Society, price 6d.
Archbishop Godfrey says in a foreword: " It should now be realised that the Pope was not expounding a new doctrine but making clear to the modern materialist all that is contained in Catholic moral teaching regarding marriage and its duties, rights and functions.
" At length it began to he understood that he was defending that precept of the Decalogue which says: 'Thou shalt not kill.'"
