From Dr Victoria Whitworth SIR — The attempt to turn

Mary Queen of Scots into a Scottish Parthenon Marbles is fascinating but possibly misguided.

Mary Stuart insisted throughout her life, and with some justification, that she was the rightful Queen of England and always gave herself that title.

Would she not herself have approved whole-heartedly of being buried in Westminster Abbey. and in a tomb just a little larger than that of her cousin, Elizabeth Tudor?

Yours faithfully, VICTORIA WHITWORTH Cribbaquoy, Orkney
