Cardinal agrees to Seidel plan

The Seidel plan for the establishment of state-supported teachers' colleges in Bavaria on a denominational basis has been endorsed by Cardinal Wendel. Archbishop of Munich and Freising. He was speaking on the promotion of harmony between Church and state at a ceremony in the Cathedral in honour of the anniversary of the Pope's coronation.

The solution of the problem of providing properly oriented education in Bavaria was a crucial necessity at this time, said the Cardinal. Lutheran Church authorities had announced their support of the Seidel plan, and the Catholic Bishops of Bavaria had also decided that the plan was the most acceptable solution for those who wanted their children to have a truly Christian education.

Pray for epileptics

Archbishop Godfrey of Westminster, who is one of the patrons of the British Epilepsy Association. has given his full support and approval to the Association's request for special prayers for epileptics during the week beginning Sunday. April 20.
